iTSApp is modeled after an original interprofessional Treatment Summary Assessment (iTSA) tool created for use by health professionals in the outpatient clinical setting. Health professionals or patients can input recommendations, which can then be reviewed by patients at any time after they leave the clinic. In an effort to circumvent low literacy rates, a text-to-speech function was added so patients can click on recommendations and have them read aloud (requires Mute Switch on left-hand side of iPhone be flipped towards the front of the phone). In addition, patients can easily track blood glucose (sugar) levels so they can be reviewed by health professionals during their return visit to the clinic. iTSApp was created with simplicity and ease of use in mind so that any patient with an iPhone can use it!
